Product quality and customer satisfaction are at the heart of Maison Château LAGUIOLE®'s priorities.

Our quality commitment

Maison Château LAGUIOLE® rigorously tests all its products to ensure they meet the strictest standards.

Our commercial warranty aims to offer you the possibility of repairing or replacing a defective Maison Château LAGUIOLE® product if the problem is attributable to manufacturing defects relating to materials or workmanship, in accordance with the general warranty conditions set out below.

The benefits of Maison Château LAGUIOLE®'s warranty policy do not prevent the application of mandatory legal warranties. No other warranty will be granted beyond what is expressly provided in this policy, except where mandatory provisions apply in the buyer's country of residence.

What does the warranty policy cover?

The commercial warranty applies to manufacturing defects in products purchased on our website or from independent retailers in our network, from the date of purchase (proof of purchase required) or after online registration for products benefiting from the lifetime warranty under the Privilege Member Program.

This warranty is only applicable to the person who purchased the product or received it as a gift.

The warranty only applies to authentic products, rightfully owned by the buyer and used in a domestic setting. It does not cover seconds, accessories, personalized elements such as prints and engravings, or the sharpness of products.

What the warranty covers:

Only manufacturing defects are covered by the Maison Château LAGUIOLE® warranty.

What the warranty does not include:

The warranty is excluded in cases of damage, defect or deterioration resulting from:

  • Error, fault or negligence of the buyer
  • Improper use or use not in accordance with the product's intended purpose
  • Lack of or improper maintenance
  • Storage conditions at the buyer's premises
  • Unauthorized modification or repair not performed by Maison Château LAGUIOLE®
  • Natural wear or accident (fall, impact, etc.)
  • External cause or force majeure

This warranty does not cover indirect or incidental damages, nor labor costs or damage attributable to work performed by anyone other than the Maison Château LAGUIOLE® after-sales service.

Any intervention not performed by the Maison Château LAGUIOLE® after-sales service will void the warranty (except for maintenance according to the procedures indicated in the "Care" section).

What is the warranty duration for my product?

Products eligible for the Maison Château LAGUIOLE® warranty are identified on the relevant product page. If no warranty period is indicated on the product page, only the legal warranty period will apply.

How to benefit from the warranty?

The Maison Château LAGUIOLE® warranty covers all costs of restoring a product recognized as defective to comply with its original specifications, through repair or possible replacement of defective parts.

To benefit from the warranty, you must submit your repair request online and return the product with a copy of your original purchase receipt and the completed repair form.

Maison Château LAGUIOLE® has no obligation to repair or exchange a product not accompanied by the original purchase receipt.

Upon receipt, Maison Château LAGUIOLE® performs a thorough assessment to verify whether the warranty conditions are met.

If the product is covered by the warranty, Maison Château LAGUIOLE® will:

  • Either repair the defect at its expense (spare parts and labor)
  • Or replace the product (if the product is no longer sold, an equivalent product will be offered)

Maison Château LAGUIOLE® will not issue any refund under the warranty. Obligations are limited exclusively to repair or replacement.

What is the product return procedure?

Product purchased on maison-château-laguiole.com

If you purchased your product directly on our website and it requires maintenance or repair, you must submit your request online:

1. Access the form in the "Repair & Maintenance Service" section and click "Request a repair"

2. Fill in the form with your order number and the email address used at purchase

3. Attach clear photos of the product and your proof of purchase

4. Send everything to the address indicated at the bottom of the form

Next steps:

  • Our team will perform a thorough assessment
  • Additional information may be requested if necessary
  • If needed, sending the product may be required for a more precise evaluation
  • If the product is not covered by the warranty, a detailed quote will be sent by email

Quotes based on photos are provided for information only. Only the workshop assessment allows for a final quote. Repair will only begin after receipt of the product, validation of the final quote and receipt of payment (if not covered by the warranty).

Shipping costs (both ways) are the customer's responsibility.

Product purchased from a Maison Château LAGUIOLE® retailer

Products purchased from an authorized retailer must be returned to the original point of sale, which will handle returning them to us for inspection and repair.

If this is not possible or if the product is no longer covered by the warranty, you can send it directly to us for repair at your expense.

Important: if you no longer have your proof of purchase, contact your retailer directly to obtain a duplicate.

Privilege Member Program product warranty

For products benefiting from the Privilege Member Program, the warranty is valid for the entire normal use period of the product, subject to compliance with the maintenance and usage conditions defined in this warranty policy and the dedicated Privilege Member Program page.

To benefit from the lifetime warranty, products accompanied by a member card must be registered online by the buyer via a smartphone or tablet, by scanning the QR code on the back of the member card included in the product's gift box.

You have 2 months from the date of purchase to register your product. The lifetime warranty is reserved for natural persons. Failing online registration, only the legal warranty will apply.

Customized product warranty

The warranty also covers products made to order via the MCL 3D Workshop configurator, with the exception of personalized elements such as engravings, prints or the blade edge, which are not guaranteed.

What is the return cost for my item?

The after-sales service does not cover round-trip shipping costs, which remain the customer's responsibility. This includes packaging, shipping, return, and any applicable customs duties.

What happens if the issue is not covered by the warranty?

If the product is not covered by the warranty, Maison Château LAGUIOLE® will inform the customer. The customer may then request the product be returned at their expense (within one month) or request repair at their expense.

Products returned under warranty claims that have been replaced, as well as uncovered and unclaimed products during the specified period, become the property of Maison Château LAGUIOLE®.
