The story behind the brand
Château LAGUIOLE® stands as an undisputed reference in the world of high-end knives and sommelier knives. Each piece is distinguished by its elegance and exceptional artisanal craftsmanship.
The brand was born in 1993, driven by the vision of Guy VIALIS, a renowned French sommelier who wanted to transform a simple tool into a work of art, combining functionality and aesthetics.
After the passing of Guy VIALIS in 2016, Sébastien LÉZIER, founder of LIGNE W, passionately took up the torch. Under his leadership, the collections were redesigned, the technical aspects perfected, while remaining faithful to the original spirit and unique heritage of Château LAGUIOLE®.

In 2008, Sébastien Lézier founded LIGNE W, guided by his passion for wine, the French art of living and cultures discovered during his many travels around the world. With a rich professional background in the wine world, he imagined a brand in his image: bold, innovative and oriented towards sharing.

Son of a winegrower, Monsieur Guy Vialis grew up at the heart of the values of the land and craftsmanship. A great connoisseur and lover of wine, he first brilliantly practiced the profession of sommelier, where his refinement and sensitivity were unanimously recognized.
An inspired creator, he is behind the creation of the Château LAGUIOLE® sommelier knife, a true symbol of exceptional French craftsmanship. But his talent did not stop there: he also infused his vision into cutlery, designing knives for the greatest chefs.
